Inspired by a Chinese Orchestra

Updated: Mar 15

I’m more curious than ever to see what the Chinese New Year will bring!

It’s 2013, the Year of the Snake, and Kuala Lumpur is alive with the festive spirit. Besides the stunning decorations and the vibrant atmosphere in public areas, major shopping malls are brimming with cultural celebrations and events.

Today, I have the chance to witness a very nice spectacle in Pavilion KLCC, performed by a group of young musicians playing traditional Chinese music. The performance is so enjoyable that I find myself returning several times to see them in different setups on stage. Their energy, skill, and passion make each show feel unique and exciting.

It’s such an exciting experience, and I manage to capture a few expressive photos to remember the magic of the moment. Chinese New Year in KL isn’t just about decorations—it’s about the vibrant cultural expressions that make the celebration come alive.
